Il Grano Reale is a bakery branding project centred around craftsmanship, quality ingredients, and traditional baking methods. The goal was to create a visual identity that feels authentic and artisanal while maintaining a refined and contemporary presence.
The challenge was to create a brand that feels genuinely artisanal without relying on overused rustic clichés while preserving the warmth and familiarity associated with traditional bakeries.
The concept was built around the idea of excellence, honest production and attention to detail. My idea was to convey these noble and sophisticated concepts mixed with a popular, attainable touch. I pictured myself wandering through a street in Florence or Rome, delighted by the surprise of stumbling upon a charming corner bakery, filled with an irresistible array of treats like cornettos and paninis. The logo was created mixing the high quality of the products with the simple and iconic shape of the wheat. A balance between rustic references and a clean, structured design system was used to create a sense of authenticity while maintaining clarity and consistency.
The final identity emphasises texture, typography, and material application to enhance the perception of quality and authenticity. Through its visual language, the brand communicates a sense of care, tradition, and refinement, elevating the everyday bakery experience.
